The entity has been seeded by Enterprise and Asset Growth Programme of UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and our digital finance initiatives are being funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

Karandaaz Digital is catalysing the financial services industry towards greater inclusion by employing cutting-edge innovations and digital solutions for social impact. Collaborating with players across the financial services ecosystem, Karandaaz aims to improve access to digital finance for low-income, rural, and otherwise excluded population segments, especially women. Karandaaz Digital aims to work with stakeholders to facilitate the digitization of government and other payment streams, and to support innovative digital financial service startups with a special focus on 4 areas of engagement.

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst for Raast Ecosystem Development will play a vital role within the Digital Public Infrastructure team in the DFS division, focusing on executing and coordinating initiatives tied to the Raast adoption plan. This position will facilitate all adoption-related activities, including brand and partnership development, while designing and implementing strategies to acquire, retain, and engage customers, followed by thorough post-intervention analysis. Additionally, the analyst will provide valuable market insights and identify customer needs to support the broader Raast team in strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment and successful execution of initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Support Management and Coordination of Raast Ecosystem Development Programme

• Collaborate with team members to design and implement projects that enhance the Raast ecosystem, with a focus on developing innovative use cases, exploring new models, and driving transaction volume.
• Support and design pilot programs to experiment with new instant payment system (IPS) use cases, ensuring success criteria are met. Collaborate with stakeholders, including regulators, to develop comprehensive rollout plans across the industry.
• Drive project timelines and ensure that delivery milestones are achieved efficiently
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align project activities with the overall strategy and vision of Raast.
• Contribute to brand and communication development initiatives that raise awareness of Raast and promote the adoption of digital payments through targeted campaigns.
• Actively manage merchant onboarding programs, ensuring alignment with partners and adherence to established milestones.
• Ensure compliance with all Karandaaz policies, procedures, and relevant manuals.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Identify and share opportunities for industry engagement with the Raast team
• Coordinate engagements with industry (fintechs, financial institutions, other participants and other adoption entities) to help develop Raast awareness and drive adoption (Roadshows, Raast Marketing Committee etc.)
• Facilitate communication between State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), vendors and/or any/all other stakeholders, ensuring that project requirements and expectations are understood and met.
• Organize and participate in project meetings, workshops, and presentations as required.

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution and propose mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with the Associate Director of Raast Ecosystem Development and Raast Team to address issues promptly and ensure project success.

Data Analyses

• Conduct basic data analysis related to Raast project performance and outcomes
• Assist in the preparation of data-driven insights for project evaluation and improvement
• Undertake additional tasks to optimize the performance of the Karandaaz DFS stream

Eligibility

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree qualified in Business, Finance or Economics related discipline.
• Master’s Degree qualified in project management or related discipline from a reputable international or national institution will be an added advantage
• 3-5 years of work experience preferably in project management related roles ideally with digital payments and/or instant payment systems.
• Proven experience in managing partners, vendors and agencies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of the digital financial services ecosystem and a burning appetite to learn more through research and learning from experts in the constantly changing DFS space.
• Good understanding of Global & Pakistan’s financial and banking landscape, regulatory environment, and digital instant payment ecosystem.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
