Thematic Areas
DFAC 2 is looking to foster technology-driven financial solutions that enhance credit access, improve market efficiencies, and build financial resilience for smallholder farmers. We have two key thematic areas—explore them below to see how your solution can align with this vision

Digital Enablement
Expanding digital financial services can bridge the financing gap for smallholder farmers, improving access to credit and market efficiency.
DFAC 2 aims to support platforms that digitize financial transactions, enable credit scoring, and streamline payments for farmers. This includes digital financial services, aarthi model digitization, and smart logistics with storage-linked financing. Solutions should enhance farmers’ ability to access formal credit, reduce post-harvest losses, and ensure better market prices.

Financing Product
Expanding financial options beyond traditional lending can improve farmers’ access to credit and support long-term sustainability.
DFAC 2 aims to enable electronic warehouse receipt financing, input financing, and asset-backed credit solutions leveraging SECP’s Secured Transaction Registry. These models allow farmers to use stored produce as collateral, access working capital without traditional guarantees, and secure input financing for improved yields. By supporting financial institutions in expanding agriculture-specific credit, DFAC 2 seeks to create a more inclusive financing ecosystem for smallholder farmers.
