Position Summary

We are seeking an individual at the entry level to support the Finance Operations function.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate timely operational payments via cheques and ALFA, including Admin payments, Tax, Legal and other retainer payments, Employee Cash Advances, Stipends for STTAs and Interns, auditor’s out-of-pocket expenses, and RMC payments.
  • Facilitate timely disbursement of employee Communication Allowances along with Travel, Per Diem and Staff Training expense.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of manual entries and journals in ERP, and reconciliations of manual vs ERP for Petty Cash, EOBI, Credit Card, and Amortization.
  • Support in accurate deductions of income and sales tax and submitting it to Tax Consultant on weekly basis along with timely payments of PSIDs and sharing the deduction certificates with vendors upon request and monthly reconciliation.
  • Ensure tasks related to data analysis is provided accurately for ease of decision making by users of that information
  • Provide timely support in furnishing vouchers and other data required from operational team for year-end audit
  • Ensuring any ad-hoc tasks are efficiently completed
  • Prepare schedule of withholding taxes on a weekly basis, and facilitate subsequent deposit into exchequer.
  • Ensure all withholding statements are filed properly and on time
  • Any other task necessary to ensure the optimum performance of the Finance department

Eligibility Criteria

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance or related discipline from a reputable institution.
  • 0-1 year of relevant work experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of the non-profit sector and an appetite to learn more
  • Intermediate level skill with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Intermediate level skill with Google Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • High Emotional Quotient (EQ) necessary to build collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to learn and operate ERP systems
  • Self-starter with the discipline to execute tasks with minimum supervision
  • An inquisitive mindset with the eagerness to learn
