Navid Goraya brings with himself over 25 years of global experience in asset management, investment strategy, product development and corporate finance. Before joining Karandaaz as the CIO, he was leading a Strategic Advisory Firm, White Oak Advisors Inc, in New York where he was involved in serving private equity funds, family offices, banks and insurance companies in support of global investments in the US, Middle East, South East Asia and South Asia. Earlier, at HSBC USA, Navid advised approx US$6 billion in specialized funds of HSBC and led a global wealth team covering North America, the GCC, and South East Asia. He has also led specialized Investment Banking teams at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Qatar National Bank. At IICG Bahrain, he led a Capital Markets Group managing proprietary funds and endowment portfolios. Her key success areas include organizational strategy, primary and secondary research methodologies, organization and project management, team building and profiling for nascent and re-aligned organizations, and research and advocacy. Mehr is a Fulbright scholar and holds an MBA from Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management (USA) and a BSc (Hons.) from LUMS. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) having vast experience in planning, implementing, managing, and controlling finance-related activities. Prior to joining Karandaaz, he was engaged in public practice as a sole practitioner chartered accountant providing various services including auditing, transaction advisory, financial and tax due diligence, etc., primarily to the oil and gas sector companies. At Karandaaz, he is engaged in donor reporting, managing treasury functions, coordinating with auditors, and corporate compliance, etc.

Ammar Habib has more than nine years of experience in the banking, capital markets, and energy space. Prior to joining Karandaaz, he was Head of Risk at National Investment Trust Limited (NIT), which is the largest Asset Management Company in Pakistan, where Ammar was a member of Investment Committee, managing more than PKR 100 billion of capital deployed in equity, and fixed income funds. He was Secretary of the Board Risk Management Committee, while also being Secretary of a committee formed by SECP for development of Exchange Traded Funds in Pakistan. In the energy sector, Ammar has advised on deals with ticket size in excess of USD 2 billion, working on projects ranging from coal mines, off-grid LNG, to solar lease solutions. Ammar was also part of a team managing wholesale risk, risk analytics, and credit modeling at HSBC Bank Middle East.

Prior to joining Karandaaz, Sana was working with Telenor as Corporate Innovation Expert. During her time at Telenor, she worked in various divisions and was involved in the launch of an innovation program that focused on design thinking, promoted the adoption of a sprint framework for creative problem solving, alternate payment methods and was involved in the launch of Google Play. Sana also has experience of launching a number of digital products in startup mode from her work at the digital division at Telenor. Sana holds an MBA from COMSATS Lahore.
Khurram Shahzad Khan

Khurram has more than 18 years of experience in the areas of strategy & planning, corporate & project financing, business valuation, M&A, divestment, transaction structuring, portfolio management & debt restructuring. Prior to joining Karandaaz, Khurram was associated with Fauji Foundation, Pakistan as General Manager Strategy and (M&A). Khurram has led various green & brown field projects and acquisition & divestment transactions within various sectors particularly in Fertilizer, Power Generation (Wind & Coal), Food, Cement, Marine Terminals, LPG marketing & distribution. Khurram was also serving as non-executive director on the boards of various Fauji Group`s companies. Khurram started his career with KPMG Pakistan.
He is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan and The Association of Chartered Certified Accountant, United Kingdom. He is also a certified director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
Mohsin Ashfaque Khan
Prior to joining Karandaaz Mohsin was working at Askari Bank Limited for the past 3 years. He joined Askari as a Management Trainee Officer rising up to the post of a Relationship Manager for Askari's SME Division, where he provided structured lending facilities to Small and Medium Enterprises in the Northern region of Pakistan.
Mohsin holds Bachelor's in Public Administration from NUST and is currently enrolled in an Executive MBA Program at NUST Business School.

Prior to joining Karandaaz, Shehryar was working as Research Associate at the Policy Research Institute of Market Economy (PRIME) where he analyzed various economic policy developments, taking place at the national level in Pakistan. He has also written for The Express Tribune and The News International.
Shehryar holds a BBA and MBA from National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad.
Shahbano Asad has joined Karandaaz Team as Programme Analyst and supports the CEO. Prior to joining Karandaaz, Shahbano Asad was working as Senior Associate – Advisory Department at A.F Ferguson and Co. - A member firm of PwC network, Islamabad for the last two years. Her areas of experience include building client relationships, programme management, and research data analysis. Shahbano holds a B.Sc. Economics & Management from University of London International Programmes.
Associate Director, Digital Transformation Projects
Majid brings over 20 years of work experience in Program Management and Business Development. Prior to joining Karandaaz, he was working with Oracle Corporation as Senior Partner, Alliances Manager – Public Sector. He has worked at top technology companies including SAP and Oracle, both in Pakistan and in the U.S, working mostly with public sector customers. His professional journey includes a lot of work experience at leading platforms and technology providers that enable Digital Transformation including ERP, Data Warehouse, and Cloud Computing. Majid has an MBA from LUMS and has a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from NUST.
Danyal Saleem joined Karandaaz Pakistan as a fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from NUST Business School. Prior to joining Karandaaz as an employee in the role of Operations Analyst, he worked as a consultant for Karandaaz to support the set-up of InfraZamin Pakistan Limited, a Non-Bank Finance Company, he had also been engaged by Karandaaz as a Short Term Technical Assistant in the Finance, Innovation Challenge Fund & Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Departments.
Through his experience at Karandaaz, Danyal has displayed his skills in the areas of project management, financial management, corporate governance, and relationship management with government regulators. He loves the development sector and plans to pursue it further.
