Karandaaz Pakistan recently hosted a webinar, for the launch of Karandaaz’s report, “NBFCs in Pakistan – Regulatory Landscape and Bottlenecks”. Globally NBFCs contribute to several sectors of the economy including but not limited to housing finance, SMEs, infrastructure, and transportation. The NBFC landscape of Pakistan is in its infancy and despite attempts at easing regulation and provision of an enabling environment, its credit offtake is not commensurate with its immense potential. The webinar disseminated these key findings and deliberated possibilities of a way forward through a discussion between keys stakeholders of the industry.
