Position Summary

The Risk Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of a robust Credit and Investment Risk framework at Karandaaz.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review credit and investment proposals, preparing comprehensive risk review memos for the Investment Committee.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing strategic investments, providing insightful review reports.
  • Maintain repayment and exception trackers, promptly identifying and escalating overdue accounts and exceptions to concerned departments.
  • Manage risk rating models, ensuring the timely updating of credit and investment risk ratings.
  • Prepare credit and investment portfolio risk reports, offering in-depth analyses.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental credit and investment risk meetings, ensuring the timely follow-up of decisions taken.
  • Undertake any other compliance and risk management tasks necessary for the optimum performance of the department

Eligibility

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in a related discipline from a reputable institution, or completed accounting qualification.
  • Atleast three (03) years of work experience in credit or risk with a reputed financial institution.
  • Candidates pursuing relevant finance or risk-related certifications will be preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong financial analysis skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial instruments
  • Updated knowledge of and curiosity for understanding macroeconomic and industry issues
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with a self-starter attitude, showing initiative.
  • Result-oriented with the ability to meet targets within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
  • Exhibit professional and personal ethics, transparency and openness.
