Karandaaz Digital

Karandaaz Digital aims to catalyze the financial services industry towards greater financial inclusion by employing cutting-edge innovations and digital solutions for social impact. Karandaaz Digital collaborates across the financial services ecosystem to maximize impact through improved access to digital finance for low income, rural, and otherwise excluded population segments, especially women. Karandaaz Digital aims to work with all stakeholders to facilitate digitization of government and other payment streams and provide support to innovative digital financial service startups. The focus areas of the unit are divided into multiple work streams including Digital Transformations of public entities, enabling them to adopt digital financial services products, processes and services, hence significantly improving the supply side of DFS. Such institutions include National Savings, Benazir Income Support Program and many other in pipeline.

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager, Digital Transformations will manage the transformational projects undertaken by Karandaaz Digital. For now, Karandaaz Digital is engaged with multiple public sector entities for providing support and technical assistance for their journey towards digital transformation. The incumbent will be responsible for managing one or more projects by developing and maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship with key stake holders, managing the end to end technical assistance support including procurement of vendor/services, overseeing and steering all partners/consultants and other resources allocated for successful execution for the assigned projects.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

The core functions and responsibilities include the following:

  • Design, plan, manage and steer transformational projects end to end
  • Provide leadership and guidance to partners and other resources for successful execution
  • Proactively identify risks and deploy mitigation strategies
  • Set realistic and practical goals for the project. Moreover, he/she should also develop appropriate strategies for achieving these goals
  • Develop effective relationships with key stake holders and leverage them for decision making, smooth execution and resolution of issues
  • Develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management
  • Coordinate with Procurement team for timely availability of resources as per the needs
  • Develop requisite project documentation including RFPs, project progress reports, presentations etc.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Project Management from a reputable international or Pakistani Institution
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in delivering projects
  • At least 4 years’ experience in delivering large scale IT centric projects
  • Should have led and/or remained directly involved in IT transformational projects including ERP rollouts, Core Banking Solution deployments, ADCs, Billing Platforms, Data warehouse development and other such systems
  • Ability to understand and evaluate technology solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
  • Driven and able to work independently as well as a part of a diverse team
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing demands, and establish priorities
  • Passion for the mission and alignment with core values of the organization
