Position Summary:

The Credit Administration Analyst is responsible for ensuring that Karandaaz’s credit and equity portfolio complies with all relevant laws, rules, regulations, contractual obligations, internal policies, and procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent would ensure that all commercial documentation is in compliance with relevant Committee and Board approvals, as well as all statutory laws, and regulations. The Credit Administration Analyst will also consolidate and maintain database of all credit, and equity exposures, assisting the Chief Risk Officer in data analytics pertaining to credit and equity portfolio of Karandaaz.  The Credit Administration Analyst may also assist in monitoring of loan and investment quality, providing assistance in management and resolution of special credits.

The core functions and responsibilities include the following:

  • Preparation and review of precise and concise loan & investment agreements (ranging from new facilities, amendments to annual renewals) in line with Karandaaz’s credit and investment decisions and policies.
  • To improve the credit & investment administration procedure and process from time to time.
  • To monitor, review, and assist in preparation of all legal documents in connection with credit and investment extension
  • To ensure compliance of credit & investment proposals and disbursements with relevant Committee & Board decisions as well as any other regulations
  • To maintain and update a database of all credit & investment exposures covering all necessary portfolio health metrics
  • To ensure necessary security coverage for various exposures and ensuring that their documentation is in place
  • To coordinate with legal advisors for registration or de-registration of charge documents
  • Coordination with Credit teams of partner Financial Institutions
  • To provide assistance to front-line for preparation of credit & investment proposals as and when required
  • Act as a custodian for all documentation pertaining to Credit & Investment disbursement, and management
  • To inculcate credit and investment process discipline in-line with best practices of credit & risk governance

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

  • Minimum education of 16 years or a four-year undergraduate degree in Finance/Business/Economics
  • Minimum of 4 years working experience in financial institutions including an understanding of credit administration and loan agreements

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of Credit Administration and its activities and all aspects of risk elements involved
  • Strong knowledge of Banking and Lending related regulatory requirements and laws in Pakistan
  • High sense of professional ethic, responsibility and teamwork
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to react to stressful situations with professionalism
  • Excellent command over Microsoft Excel
  • Experience/ knowledge of Data Analytics would be preferred
