Karandaaz Digital aims to catalyze the financial services industry towards greater financial inclusion by employing cutting-edge innovations and digital solutions for social impact. Karandaaz collaborates across the financial services ecosystem to maximize impact through improved access to digital finance for low-income, rural, and otherwise excluded population segments, especially women. With funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Karandaaz Digital aims to work with all stakeholders to facilitate the digitalization of government and other payment streams and provide support to innovative digital financial service startups.

Position Summary

Executive Digital Public Infrastructure will be a part of the Digital Public Infrastructure team within the DFS unit and will help execute and coordinate the Raast adoption plan. The incumbent will be responsible for all adoption related activities including overall brand & partnerships development, designing and driving campaigns to acquire, retain and engage users. The position will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing uptake related data, identifying emerging market needs, and use cases.

Job Responsibilities

Support Management and Coordination of Raast Ecosystem Development Programme

  • Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects pertaining to the Raast ecosystem to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Support the launch of pilot plans and ensure success criteria is met; as part of the rollout plan for the industry.
  • Monitor execution of the overall brand and communication development plan for Raast in line with Raast Adoption Strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project activities with overall Raast strategy and vision
  • Manage procurement processes in collaboration with the Procurement team
  • Coordinate merchant onboarding programmes and product innovation

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments.
  • Generate regular reports on project status, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with the policies & procedures of Karandaaz and the DFS stream

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Seek opportunities for industry engagement with the Raast team
  • Coordinate engagement with industry (fintechs, financial institutions, other participants and other adoption entities) to help develop Raast awareness and drive adoption (CEO Roadshows, Raast Marketing Committee etc.)
  • Facilitate communication between State Bank of Pakistan (SCB), vendors and/or any/all other stakeholders, ensuring that project requirements and expectations are understood and met.
  • Organize and participate in project meetings, workshops, and presentations as required.

Data Analyses

  • Conduct basic data analysis related to Raast project performance and outcomes
  • Assist in the preparation of data-driven insights for project evaluation and improvement
  • Undertake additional tasks to optimize the performance of the Karandaaz DFS stream

Eligibility

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in a relevant discipline such as, but not limited to, project management, business, economics, etc.
  • 0-1 year of work experience preferably in project management related roles ideally with digital payments and/or instant payment systems.
  • Proven experience in managing vendors and agencies

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of the digital financial services ecosystem and a burning appetite to learn more through research and learning from experts in the constantly changing DFS space.
  • Good understanding of Global & Pakistan’s financial and banking landscape, regulatory environment, and digital instant payment ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
