Karandaaz is governed by an eminent board who set the strategy of the organization and steer it towards achievement of its objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of working papers along with presentations for the Board Audit Committee Meetings
  • Prepare profitability reports on monthly basis to ensure profits credited by the banks are aligned with agreed deposit rates
  • Coordinate with other team members (Payables and Receivables) to ensure integrity of the cycle
  • Coordinate with the team on internal and external audits and other reviews etc.
  • Follow up with Tax Consultant regularly to seek both direct and indirect tax opinions on payments, where required.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly tax reconciliation statements
  • Prepare withholding tax data for onwards submission to the FBR
  • Carry out adjustments for pre-payments and advances
  • Monitor petty cash payments and resolve discrepancies (if any)
  • Coordinate with internal functions such as Procurement, Admin and Programme teams for discussion on budget spend and reasons for variance, if any etc.
  • Prepare requisite approval narratives and documentation for securing approvals and presentations in the Audit Committee and Board meetings
  • Create reports, presentations and analyses after consolidating inputs from various teams.
  • Liaise with other team members on behalf of the CFO to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Any other task necessary to ensure smooth operations of the Finance department

Eligibility Criteria

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related discipline from a reputable institution.
  • 0-2 years of work experience with reputable organization/s in a project coordination/program management office role

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Understanding of a not-for-profit organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent skill in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn and operate systems like the ERP
  • Self-starter with the discipline to execute tasks with minimum supervision
  • Problem solver with the ability to balance IQ and EQ to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues
  • Champion of change with an innovator’s mindset
  • Quick and eager learner
