We are supported by Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). Karandaaz is governed by an eminent board who set the strategy of the organization and steer it towards achievement of its objectives.

Position Summary

The Manager Treasury will ensure efficient day-to-day treasury operations and be responsible for Cash Management, FX Dealing, Cash Forecasting and ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements.

Job Description

• Explore short-term investment opportunities including term deposit placements in order to maximize returns to achieve sustainability of the organization
• Assist the CFO in establishment of Escrow Accounts including review of escrow agreements, negotiations on escrow fee and deposit rates etc.
• Prepare comparative analysis to seek best deposit rates from the panel of financial institutions approved by the Treasury Committee
• In order to maximize returns, ensure surplus funds are placed on deposit rates earlier approved by the Treasury Committee.
• Prepare treasury reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Liaison with authorized dealer (intermediate bank) and the regulator (SBP) to ensure smooth handling and processing of all international remittances.
• Daily updation of bank report by capturing all bank accounts for onwards sharing with the CFO
• Assist the management in digitalization of end-to-end payment process.
• Prepare profitability reports on monthly basis to ensure profits credited by the banks are aligned with agreed deposit rates
• Maintain relationships with financial institutions to ensure smooth accomplishment of tasks
• Any other task necessary to ensure the optimum performance of the Finance department

Eligibility

A preferred candidate will need to have:

Education & Experience

• Masters’ Degree in Finance or MBA/ACCA/Part-qualified Chartered Accountancy
• 5-7 years of experience in the field of Treasury Management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Understanding of a not-for-profit organization
• Understanding of the financial sector and an appetite to learn more
• Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which Karandaaz Pakistan operates.
• Knowledge of reputable financial MIS such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics.
• Well-versed with the updates in foreign exchange and Operations Manual released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
• Time management skills
