Position Summary:

The incumbent will work on compiling, researching and conceptualizing programme ideas for Karandaaz Pakistan within the overall framework agreed with the sponsors. The advisor will work with senior management at Karandaaz to socialize and improve the ideas after consulting the relevant teams. The Advisor will support in the development of concept/ position papers, summary of business plans or research reports and make presentations. The Advisor while working on these program level ideas will be required to support senior management in the tracking of different projects and programmes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The core functions and responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop position papers, summary of research reports or business case
  • Engage with stakeholders for development of concept notes;
  • Research topics and ideas and create management summaries for decision making;
  • Support in the tracking various projects in the programmes

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in business administration, economics, or related discipline from a reputable international or Pakistani Institution.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in programme management or programme delivery design within financial services – or development-related field, preferred.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and understand policy compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work with senior management team
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis and synthesis preferred
  • Knowledge of working with donor-funded programs is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated, diverse team and be comfortable in multiple, high varied settings, and tight deadlines with different work and learning styles.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing demands, and establish priorities.
  • Passion for the mission and alignment with core values of the organization.
