Senior Analyst, Corporate Investment and Credit

Report to: Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Karandaaz Pakistan is looking to recruit Senior Analysts for its Corporate Investment and Credit Team in Islamabad, Pakistan. This team is responsible for sourcing and executing investment and credit transactions in SMEs. Senior Analysts work closely with the transaction leads, who are responsible for the design, negotiation, structuring and subsequent supervision of Karandaaz’s investment projects. This position is expected to provide support for both equity and credit transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create financial models
  • Analyze historical and projected financial statements
  • Collaborate with Finance and Monitoring & Evaluation to track, monitor and evaluate portfolio performance and generate impact assessment reports
  • Conduct industry and market research
  • Review company information and prepare reports on periodic financial statements and other information submitted by clients
  • Prepare documentation for Karandaaz’s internal processes including creating and maintain annual work plans and support in internal and external audits
  • Establish and maintain quality client relationships to ensure responsive client service and to enhance new business opportunities
  • Participate in investments negotiations 
  • Participate in the monitoring and reporting of investments in portfolio companies
  • Any other task as may be required


  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, specialization in finance preferred including CFA
  • Experience at a top tier financial institution ( Min 2+ years) with a proven track record, including experience creating financial models
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and sound business judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions
  • Ability to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Strong client service orientation with an openness to feedback and new ideas
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Interest in development issues and working in emerging markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong coordination and interpersonal skills required
