Position Summary

Karandaaz Pakistan is seeking a Senior Analyst Finance to provide support in completing the deliverables of the team, which includes the coordination of internal and cross functional financial processes and activities. The incumbent is a member of the Finance Team, reporting to the Manager Finance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processing all payments of Karandaaz timely, i.e. program, non-program and operational payments, along with regular follow-up with tax consultants for seeking both direct and indirect tax opinions where required
  • Post all approved vouchers (BPVs/JVs/CPs) in the Financial Management System
  • Prepare monthly payroll in the accounting software, along with timely submission of all payroll-related reporting to Manager Finance
  • Perform tax calculation on monthly payroll and ensure all applicable tax credits have been properly accounted for
  • Ensure tax has been withheld and deposited timely in the government treasury, in accordance with prevailing tax laws
  • Ensure timely submission of all quarterly and annual withholding tax statements of the company
  • Follow-up with the tax advisor to ensure timely submission of tax opinions against various grants / services agreements
  • Maintenance of books of accounts of employees’ provident fund, along with their updation on monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Assist in documentation and supporting provision to External and Internal Auditors
  • Timely preparation and submission of various financial reports to Manager Finance on a monthly basis
  • Ensure monthly closing of books of accounts on a timely basis to meet reporting deadlines
  • Monthly profit recalculation of all bank accounts to ensure there are no discrepancies
  • Timely shifting of banks’ profit from all bank accounts to Own Source Revenue account and BMGF account, along with calculation and transfer of Liquidity reserve as per updated policy
  • Provide support in processing of all payments, including tax submission, along with management reporting for newly incorporated sister companies
  • Any other task assigned by the Line Manager / Chief Financial Officer

 Education & Experience

  • CA (Finalist) / ACCA Qualified, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Must have sound knowledge of the Companies Act’ 2017, Income tax Ordinance’ 2001 and International Financial Reporting and Accounting Standards, applicable in Pakistan
  • Experience of donor funded projects will be a plus
  • Knowledge of reputable Financial MIS (example Oracle, Dynamics) preferred
  • In depth knowledge / experience of accounting cycle
  • Ability to meet targets within tight deadlines
  • Should be a result-oriented individual
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word
  • Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural sensitivity
  • A good team-player who is able to promote the spirit of joined of working at all levels
  • Ability to represent Karandaaz Pakistan in a confident, courteous and coherent manner
  • Demonstrated behavior of professional and personal ethics, transparency and openness
  • Excellent English writing and presentation skills
