Position Summary

The Senior Analyst Risk & Compliance is tasked with establishing and maintaining a robust compliance and risk management framework at Karandaaz.

Job Responsibilities

  • Formulate and review Risk & Compliance policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to update the Risk Register, recommending appropriate risk mitigations.
  • Monitor the entity-level risk profile in alignment with risk appetite, escalating concerns to relevant departments as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive Risk and Compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the focal point for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), supporting departments with due diligence and conducting AML/CFT training.
  • Assist in securing relevant insurance coverages
  • Undertake any other compliance and risk management tasks necessary for the optimum performance of the department

Eligibility

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in a related discipline from a reputable institution, or completed accounting qualification.
  • Five (05) years of work experience in a financial institution, with at least three (03) years in compliance.
  • Holders of relevant compliance related certifications will have a competitive advantage

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Familiarity with financial institutions and financial instruments
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and laws in Pakistan
  • Understanding of not-for-profit organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Urdu
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with a self-starter attitude, showing initiative.
  • Result-oriented with the ability to meet targets within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
  • Professional and personal ethics, transparency and openness.
